1. Information We Collect
ColorBase collects the minimal data necessary to provide our services:
- Account Data: If you create a free account to use Cloud Sync, we collect your email address and securely hashed password. If you use the app offline as a guest, no personal account data is collected.
- User Content: Color recipes, ingredients, formulas, notes, and reference photos you upload. If you are logged in, this data is securely synced to our cloud.
- Metadata: App preferences such as your selected currency, measurement units, and ad-unlocked slot limits.
2. Third-Party Services We Use
We partner with industry-leading services to ensure the app runs smoothly, securely, and provides optional premium features:
- Supabase: Used as our secure backend infrastructure. It handles user authentication and securely stores your synced recipes and uploaded images.
- RevenueCat: Used to securely process the one-time in-app purchase for ColorBase PRO and to verify your premium status across devices. We do not store or process your credit card information directly.
- Google AdMob: The free version of ColorBase displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers to serve personalized ads, subject to your device privacy settings.
3. Device Permissions
To provide core functionalities, the app may request the following permissions:
- Camera & Photo Library: Requested solely for attaching reference photos to your color recipes or setting a profile avatar. We do not scan or access your photos outside of the app.
- App Tracking Transparency (iOS): We will ask for your permission before tracking your activity across other companies' apps and websites for ad targeting purposes (used by Google AdMob).
4. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data only for as long as your account is active. You have full control over your information.
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data (including cloud-stored photos, recipes, and credentials) at any time directly within the app via the "Delete Account" button in your Profile.
