What is ColorBase?
ColorBase is a professional mobile app for paint technicians, resin artists, and color manufacturers. It helps you manage color recipes, document batches with photos and notes, scale formulas instantly, and track material costs.
What is the difference between the Free and PRO versions?
The free version allows you to store up to 3 recipes. You can earn up to 27 extra slots (30 total) by watching short video ads. ColorBase PRO is a one-time lifetime purchase that completely removes all ads, unlocks unlimited recipe slots, and enables professional PDF and CSV exports.
Do I need an account to use the app?
No, you can start using ColorBase immediately without signing up. Your recipes will be stored locally on your device. However, creating a free account enables seamless Cloud Sync, ensuring your formulas are safely backed up and accessible from any device.
How does the Recipe Calculator work?
ColorBase features both Forward and Reverse Math. You can enter a 'Target Total Weight' to instantly scale up your entire batch, or tap on a single ingredient's weight to reverse-calculate the exact batch size based on how much of that specific material you have left.
How does the cost calculator work?
Assign a price per kilogram (kg) or pound (lb) to each ingredient. The app automatically calculates the exact material cost of producing your custom batch based on the specific weights used.
Can I export or share my recipes?
Yes! ColorBase PRO users can export any individual recipe as a professional PDF report (complete with your photos, notes, and cost breakdowns) to share with clients or staff. PRO users can also export their entire recipe library as a CSV spreadsheet.
Can I change my measurement units and currency?
Yes, you can easily switch between Metric (grams/kg) and Imperial (ounces/lb) units, and choose your preferred currency ($, €, £, zł) directly in the Profile settings.
Does the free version show ads?
Yes. The free version displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. Purchasing the ColorBase PRO lifetime license removes all ads permanently.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data (including recipes and photos) at any time using the "Delete Account" option in your profile. See our Delete Account page for details.
